The clients purchased this apartment in a newer building in Williamsburg for its high ceilings and East and West facing exposures. The original space lacked character and personality so our clients wanted a refresh and interjection of “New York” design inspiration. With the young family based in Europe, this pied-à-terre needed to feel and function as a home, but they still wanted it to be bold and playful in contrast to their neutral space in Greece.  

The challenge for the team was client communication; our team had one initial in-person meeting on site with our client and one in-person design meeting to review finishes. From there, our clients handed over the keys, left for Greece,  and trusted our team to deliver a renovated space before their return. We utilized our project management software to make sure the client was still connected and aware of project progress.

The end result captures their love of NYC design eras with art deco elements in the hardware & lighting, mid-century touches in walnut accents cabinetry and furniture, all wrapped together with a timeless black & white color palette.
